Fish species composition and relative abundance for Lakes Edward and George, and the Kazinga channel DataSet Details
Description:
This dataset comprises occurrence records, species relative abundance (number and weight), and sample length of fish species in the Lake Edward-George system (including Kazinga channel collected between 1971 and 2013. The data can be used to assess changes in ichthyofaunal diversity in relation to human and environmental changes within and around the lakes.
Purpose:
The data were collected to understand the distribution and species richness of fishes in different habitats of the Lake Edward-George system. Analysis of this data could reveal temporal changes in fish species diversity over time
